What are prescribed for postoperative pain, depends entirely on the doctor. You can get all kinds of prescription strength ibuprofen (600 mg or 800 mg), weak opioids (codeine, dextropropoxyphene), the average application opioids (hydrocodone) and a stronger opiates (oxycodone, hydromorphone,) morphine.

The most likely one of the following:
* Tylenol with codeine
* Vicodin, Lortab, Lorcet and Norco (with acetaminophen (Tylenol), hydrocodone)
* Percocet (with acetaminophen (Tylenol), oxycodone)
* Percodan (oxycodone with aspirin)
* Combunox (oxycodone with ibuprofen)

These are the most commonly prescribed drugs for acute pain after surgery.

The pain can not be serious, this is not major surgery. Analgesic with JacuzziCodone and oxycodone probably work very well. Codeine is weak and can not function properly. But the world body and its response to pain is different, so what one person may not work at all work for someone else.

I want to receive, and if it fails, or if you experience side effects such as nausea, vomiting, itching, dizziness or lightheadedness, call your doctor and let him know and you should be amended to n all that is best for you can work - both in form and efficacy in the treatment of pain and side effects minimized. There is no reason to suffer from pain treated or unmanageable side effects of medication, so do not worry, adapt it to the surgeon, or change your medication call.
